Graydon Carter revives his power lists with ‘Downtown’ issue of Air Mail

Graydon Carter is bringing back the power list. When the pantheon-grade editor was running Vanity Fair, the appearance of his “Best Dressed,” “Young Hollywood,” and the “New Establishment” lists were met with much fanfare (and jealousy) and occasioned a swell party where those who didn’t quite make it drowned their sorrows and the ones who did rubbed their faces in it.
