After Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973, antiabortion activists began engaging in horrific acts of violence. Since 1977, when the National Abortion Federation started tracking such statistics, 11 abortion providers have been killed, with an additional 26 attempts on people’s lives. There have been 42 abortion clinic bombings and 194 acts of arson.
