Cola increase Social Security 2022 update – SSI boost of $821 to be sent after new ‘$1,657 checks’ rolled out THIS WEEK

SUPPLEMENTAL Security Income (SSI) recipients will be getting a huge check of $821 after the new Social Security checks went out this week. SSI claimants got two checks in December reflecting the new cost-of-living adjustment (Cola) because of the holiday schedule, and they have another one coming on February 1. According to the Social Security Administration, the monthly maximum for SSI is now $841 per month for an individual in 2022, compared to $794 in 2021.
