CHILD Tax Credit payments of up to $1,000 might be on their way to thousands in one state. A bill to create a Vermont version of the child tax credit has cleared the Senate unanimously. The law contains a $1,000 state child tax credit, which is less than the $1,200 previously enacted by the House.
