Beyoncé Gave a Triumphant Opening Performance at Oscars 2022
The Oscars 2022 began with a Beyoncé-induced bang. Performing virtually from Compton, the hometown of King Richard subjects Venus and Serena Williams, the best-original-song nominee sang her nominated track, “Be Alive.” Surrounded by a group of background singers, musicians, dancers, and her daughter Blue Ivy Carter, all dressed in tennis ball green, Beyoncé was introduced from the Oscar stage by the Williams sisters.
