In the late 1990s, the skateboarder Jason Dill started taking photographs. Lots of them. He brought disposable cameras and the occasional point-and-shoot with him nearly everywhere he went, documenting his life in film like many do with smartphones today. “It’s just what you did,” he recalled recently.
