Tax Day 2022 – Two states get an extra day to file as deadline is pushed back

TAXPAYERS in TWO states will have an extra day to file their taxes as the IRS tax return deadline approaches. Residents of Massachusetts and Maine won’t have to pay their taxes until April 19 because of Patriots’ Day. The standard tax deadline is on Monday, April 18, but Americans who request an extension are given some wiggle room.
