‘CODA’ Captures Historic Best Picture Win at Oscars 2022
The lesson of Oscars 2022: Don’t count out CODA. The beloved indie about growing up with a deaf family, which premiered over a year ago at the 2021 Sundance Film Festival, was named best picture at the 94th Academy Awards. On Sunday, Siân Heder’s film took home three trophies, winning all of the categories in which it was nominated, including best adapted screenplay for Heder.
