’90s Chanel Pieces Are Up for Auction—Including One Look Princess Diana Loved

On the heels of Chanel’s tweed-laden Paris runway and the comeback of Y2K style, Sotheby’s announced a Chanel sale with pieces from 1983 to 2019. Over 250 pieces were curated from collectors for The Chanel Collection; handbags and jewelry comprise most of the sale, but the house’s classic jackets and suits (yes, in tweed), make a strong showing.
